Jennifer Lopez marked her return to the concert stage this week with an expert clapback at her critics.
The pop diva kicked off her “Up All Night Live in Las Vegas” residency Tuesday at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace, entertaining fans with a few self-aware jokes in between renditions of “Jenny From the Block” and “Love Don’t Cost a Thing.”
At one point, while clad in a sparkling green bustier and fringed skirt designed by Celia Kritharioti, she took aim at those who criticize her sexy style.
“I do laugh at some of the things [people say online] sometimes, because they do say funny things, too,” Lopez said, as seen in footage from the show online. “‘Why is she always dressed that way? Why don’t she dress her age?’ ― I’m like, ‘Huh?’ ‘Why’s she always naked?’”
After the crowd expressed its disapproval, she proclaimed, “And I say, ’If you had this body, you’d be naked, too!”
