The Oscar-winning actor and her husband, Cooke Maroney, share two children together.
Jennifer Lawrence is opening up about some of the trade-offs that she’s had to make as a working mother of two.
The “Hunger Games” actor appeared on The New York Times “The Interview” podcast over the weekend, and spoke about her attempts to balance it all.
“Having kids is sacrificial. It’s gratifying and it’s amazing and rewarding, but it’s not not sacrificial,” Lawrence said.
“I’d never had to say no to something before that I really wanted to do. I could just go do it,” she explained. “I do wrestle. It feels vain and selfish that I love being a creative person as much as I do. My kids and my family are more important, obviously, but they feel like an equal part of me.”
She added that she “would not be complete if I couldn’t make movies. I just wouldn’t.”
