Damascus: Israeli drones launched airstrikes on several sites in the Syrian capital, Damascus, on Wednesday.

This coincided with heavy Israeli aircraft activity over the city, with news of an explosion circulating, possibly resulting in human and material losses.

Meanwhile, the Syrian army continues sweeping operations in the neighborhoods of the Sweida province, following renewed clashes with armed groups, amid ongoing waves of displacement toward the eastern countryside of Daraa.

The Syrian Ministry of Defense said that the army and security forces are responding to the sources of fire in accordance with the rules of engagement to ensure the protection of civilians.

Yesterday, Israel carried out airstrikes using drones and warplanes on areas inside Syrian territory.
