Mumbai Indians pacer Trent Boult will head back to New Zealand after the suspension of the Indian Premier League (IPL 2021) due to the coronavirus crisis. Boult is likely to miss the two-match series against England.
New Zealand pacer Trent Boult, who was playing for Mumbai Indians in IPL 2021, will return home after the suspension of the league where he will undergo quarantine and have a reunion with his family later. Boult could miss the two-match series against England due to his home tour but will possibly be playing at the WTC final against India. Boult will depart New Delhi on Friday on one of two charter flights along with the other New Zealand-based players. According to an NZC statement, Boult would be back with the squad "possibly in time to be picked for the second Test against England but certainly in time for the ICC WTC final." "We're completely supportive of Chris and Trent taking the opportunity to see their families before heading to the UK," David White, the NZC chief executive, said. "They've always been the consummate professionals and we're more than happy to accommodate these arrangements."More Related News
