Inside Giants’ Kayvon Thibodeaux taking up wrestling to bring game to next level
NY Post
Kayvon Thibodeaux stopped grappling with how to make more plays for the Giants and got on the mats to take matters — and opponents — into his own hands.
Thibodeaux picked up wrestling this offseason as a way of making sure he is getting quarterbacks and ball carriers to the ground without needing teammates to jump onto the pile.
“Wrestlers literally tackle people to the ground — that’s the whole goal,” Thibodeaux said. “So, it’s just like learning. Seeing that the part of my game that I wanted to elevate was the finish. And that’s kind of the start to a wrestling match.”
Thibodeaux counted five split sacks among his 5.5 total last season — down from 11.5 sacks in his breakthrough 2023.

Suddenly, someone had hit a rewind button and everyone had been transported back seven months. It was early spring instead of late fall, it was broiling hot outside the arena walls and not freezing cold. Everyone was back at TD Garden. There were 19,156 frenzied fans on their feet begging for blood, poised for the kill.
