Markets are likely to open weaker tomorrow as India continues to see a rapid surge in cases and deaths during the second wave of the Covid-19 pandemic. India has reported nearly 3 lakh Covid-19 cases and over 2,000 deaths on Wednesday — the highest single-day figure since the beginning of the pandemic. On Tuesday, S&P BSE Sensex ended 0.51 per cent lower at 47,705.80 and NSE Nifty had fallen below 14,300 at the end of the trading session.
