Doha, Qatar: The Ministry of Environment and Climate Change (MECC), represented by the Wildlife Protection Department patrols, carried out an extensive inspection campaign in the Rashidiya area in the north of the country as part of its ongoing efforts to protect the environment and preserve vegetation.
MECC said that the inspection resulted in the arrest of a violator who was caught pouring sewage into undesignated locations.
Legal measures were taken against the violator in accordance with applicable laws, the statement added.
The Ministry affirms its commitment to combating any practices that harm the environment and calls on the public to adhere to environmental laws and preserve vegetation, as it is a fundamental pillar of biodiversity and the sustainability of ecosystems.
