Doha: Brazilian forward Roberto Firmino has set his sights on a successful spell with Al Sadd, aiming to help Qatar’s most decorated football club reach new heights after signing a two-year contract with the Wolves.
“My hope, goal and aspiration is to leave a mark with the team and to continue achieving victories with Al Sadd,” Firmino said in his first interview on Al Sadd’s official X platform, following his move from Saudi Arabia’s Al Ahli Saudi FC.
“I am here to contribute in the best way possible, through my work and my expertise. I came here to help the team.”
The former Liverpool star expressed his gratitude for the warm welcome he received upon joining the club.
“I am very happy to finally be here with this great team and this special group of players. I feel like I am at home. A great number of Brazilian players welcomed me and even the local players, who are very nice people,” he said.
