HONG KONG (AP) — Hong Kong’s government said Thursday that it has granted a quarantine exemption to an individual to perform “designated professional work” following reports that Hollywood actress Nicole Kidman did not have to spend time in quarantine when she arrived in the city to film a TV series. “The case in discussion has been granted permission to travel to Hong Kong with a quarantine exemption for the purpose of performing designated professional work, taking into account that it is conducive to maintaining the necessary operation and development of Hong Kong’s economy,” the government said in a statement, without identifying Kidman by name. It said people granted such exemptions must comply with disease prevention measures to minimize transmission risks and contact with the public.
The star was recognized with the 2026 Carol Burnett Award ahead of the 83rd annual Golden Globes.
Many people are expressing their support for the Oscar-winning actor.
“As an adult woman? No thank you,” the comedian said after giving her take.
Awards season is ramping up, and there's a whole new slate of TV series and movies to get into in 2026.
“I literally could not believe my eyes,” Kelly said.
The two actors were married in 2005 and later split in 2015.
“But I’m going to crack it," the comedian promised ahead of hosting Sunday's ceremony.
Spencer Pratt, a reality television personality who lost his home in the deadly Palisades wildfire last year, said that he intends to run for mayor of Los Angeles.
The actor's appearance at the world premiere of his film "Is This Thing On?" last fall drew heavy scrutiny online.
