High net-worth individuals in India grew by 5.9% in 2020

A new report has highlighted that the number of high net-worth individuals in India grew by nearly 6 per cent despite the devastating impact of the Covid-19 pandemic.

The population of high net-worth individuals has been growing in India since 2020 despite the devastating impact the Covid-19 pandemic had on the economy. A report by Capgemini suggests that the number of high net-worth individuals increased by 5.9 per cent last year, marginally better than the average growth in the overall Asia Pacific region. The ‘World Wealth’ report indicated that the population of high net-worth individuals grew 6.3 per cent globally. In total, the wealth of high net-worth individuals grew 7.6 per cent last year, reaching close to $80 trillion.
