HC notice to Karnataka govt. on report about wakf property

The High Court of Karnataka on Monday ordered issue of notice to the State government on a PIL petition seeking directions to the government to implement the report on ‘Misuse and disposal of wakf properties’, and to conduct a probe by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) based on the findings of the report. A Division Bench comprising Chief Justice Abhay Shreeniwas Oka and Justice Sachin Shankar Magadum passed the order on the petition filed by 83-year-old S.K. Kantha, a former Minister.
