London Police are investigating a two vehicle crash near the London International Airport Tuesday morning.
Emergency crews were called to the area of Dundas Street and Kostis Avenue at around 6:20 a.m. One person has been taken to hospital with serious, life-threatening injuries.
London Fire Department Platoon Chief Gary Mossburger said a hazmat team is on site to control a substantial diesel fuel leak. The Ministry of the Environment will be notified, he said.
All eastbound and westbound lanes of Dundas Street have been closed between Nissouri Road and Crumlin Sideroad. Dundas Street is expected to remain closed for the next several hours.
While his party has made a cause célèbre out of its battle with the Speaker, Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre has periodically waxed poetic about the House of Commons — suggesting that its green upholstery is meant to symbolize the fields of the English countryside where commoners met centuries ago before the signing of the Magna Carta.
