Hamilton police said there will be officers in west Hamilton searching for a suspect after a string of break-ins.

Monday's incident was the fifth break and enter in the west end, all happening in a five-day period, police said. Officers haven't confirmed if those incidents are related.
"Police want to take this opportunity to remind community members to stay vigilant and encourage the public to look out for one another," police said in a media release.
"We ask that you report all incidences of suspicious activity and crimes so they can be investigated and tracked … if you see something, say something."
Police say residents being vigilant can make it tough for criminals to prey on a certain neighborhood.
Officers say anyone with video footage that could help identify the suspect or anyone who may have seen the person should call 905-546-4725.
