Gov. Tim Walz: If Kamala Harris Runs For President In 2028, 'That Betters All Of Us'

"I'm sure there will be a lot of folks who throw their hat into the ring. But that's good," the Minnesota leader and former vice presidential nominee added.
Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz (D) is heartily in favor of former Vice President Kamala Harris running for president in 2028, despite their loss in the 2024 election.
“We need to have the Democratic Party out on the field, the broad inclusive Democratic Party talking about making life more affordable, talking about protecting freedoms. And I think Kamala Harris does a wonderful job with that,” Walz told Kristen Welker on NBC News’ “Meet The Press” on Sunday. “If she chooses to run, that betters all of us.”
Walz also noted that the Democratic field in 2028 will likely be crowded.
“I’m sure there will be a lot of folks who throw their hat into the ring. But that’s good. And we need to make sure that we’re providing the alternative that America is asking for,” Walz continued, pointing to a conceivably crowded 2028 Democratic presidential field.
However, messaging will be key.
