After trading on the lower side for the last two days, gold and silver prices have finally jumped on the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX). With a marginal hike of Rs 29 or 0.06 per cent, gold futures maturing on August 5 stands at Rs 48,458 per 10 grams. Similarly, silver prices also jumped on the MCX, trading at Rs 71,500 per kg. On Wednesday, the silver prices maturing on July 5 recorded a hike of Rs 256 or 0.36 per cent on the MCX. In India, the prices of gold and silver are decided on the basis of the international market. Yesterday, both precious metals traded low for the second time in a row. While gold futures maturing on August 5 stood at Rs 48,509 per 10 grams, silver stood at Rs 71,791 per kg.
