Giants sign undrafted defensive tackle Elijah Chatman to training camp roster
NY Post
The Giants liked what they saw from Elijah Chatman during their two-day rookie minicamp and signed the undersized, powerful defensive tackle for their 90-man training camp roster.
Chatman, 23, went undrafted in 2023 out of Southern Methodist University, where he played for five seasons as a four-year starter.
In 56 games, he had 148 total tackles, 13.5 sacks, 33 tackles for loss and five fumble recoveries, one he returned for a touchdown.
At 6-foot and 278 pounds, Chatman does not have the usual size for an interior defensive lineman.
He is called “Baby Bison” and he showed enough working against the other rookies to earn a contract.
More than 50 players attended the minicamp on a tryout basis.

Almost a year to the day after a goaltender interference call against Kyle Palmieri lost the Islanders a game against the Blue Jackets that started their season’s death spiral, they were on the wrong end of another controversial call against those same Blue Jackets that might have had the same effect.

SAN DIEGO — As you may have seen elsewhere in this newspaper (and also if you haven’t deleted me yet from your social media), I have a book coming out Tuesday called “The Bosses of The Bronx.” Much of it details the 37 years’ worth of antics, winning, losing, winning again and overall mania of George Steinbrenner’s time with the Yankees.
