George Santos’ Big Goodbye To NYC After Mamdani Win Goes Exactly How You’d Expect

The online response was swift... and largely unsympathetic.
Disgraced former Rep. George Santos (R-N.Y.) suggested that he’ll fulfill his promise to flee New York City after Democratic socialist Zohran Mamdani’s victory this week in the mayoral race.
Serial fabulist Santos had previously vowed to quit the Big Apple if Mamdani won. In a new video posted on social media, a visibly angry Santos fumed over the result before signing off with: “Good luck, New York. It was nice knowing you. After 37 years, I’m out.”
The online response was largely unsympathetic to Santos, whose prison sentence for defrauding donors was commuted by President Donald Trump last month.
Many suggested he should still be behind bars.
“Zohran Mamdani is already making the city a better place,” quipped the Patriot Takes account, while another user snarked: “The number of criminals in the city is already dropping!”
