Riyadh: Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi, received a telephone call Saturday from Pakistani Minister of Foreign Affairs Mohammad Ishaq Dar to discuss the brutal Iranian aggressions against the Council states.
During the call, the two sides discussed the grave situation in the region and the unprecedented developments that have impacted security, stability, and the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the states.
Dar underlined Pakistan's condemnation of these aggressions against the GCC states and reiterated its absolute rejection of any actions that would destabilize the security of the GCC states or threaten the safety of their peoples.
For his part, Albudaiwi underscored that GCC-Pakistani relations are not merely a product of current circumstances, but are historical ties built on firm foundations. He stated that Pakistan's supportive stance toward the security and stability of the GCC states is based on these solid, brotherly, and historical relations.
Furthermore, both sides stressed the necessity of an immediate cessation of Iranian military operations against the GCC states and an end to all forms of escalation that would disrupt regional security and stability.
