Gavin Newsom Humiliates Indiana Governor For Sucking Up To Trump: 'XOXO'
HuffPost
The California governor quoted Gov. Mike Braun's post while subtly pointing out the real message behind it — and its true recipient.
Thursday wasn’t a great day for Indiana Gov. Mike Braun (R), but his unforced error made it worse.
First, his state’s Republican-led Senate ignored the furious decrees of President Donald Trump to adopt a new congressional map that would eliminate two House seats currently held by Democrats. Instead, 31 of Indiana’s 50 state senators voted against the new map, including a majority of Republicans.
Obviously, Trump wasn’t happy the new map failed to pass, so he decided to attack state Sens. Rodric Bray and Greg Goode, for being “two politically correct type ‘gentlemen.’”
Trump also went after Brown for “not working the way he should to get the necessary Votes.” He also claimed that Braun “wouldn’t be Governor without me (Not even close!).”
Indiana Lt. Gov. Micah Beckwith said Thursday the Trump administration was so adamant about redistricting that it vowed to withhold federal funds from the state if it didn’t help him rig the House by drawing a new congressional map.
