"I'm grateful it wasn't worse," he said.
Frankie Muniz is going to have to put his second career as a racecar driver on hold for a bit.
The former “Malcolm In the Middle” and “Agent Cody Banks” actor said Thursday he broke his wrist in a fall from a ladder. He will miss his next NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series race and several more weeks after that.
“The phrase ‘FML’ (Frankie Muniz’s Life) takes on new meaning with moments like these,” Muniz, 39, wrote on X. “I’m disappointed to share that I won’t be racing at Darlington this weekend or for the next few weeks due to a distal radius fracture.”
Muniz, who has focused mostly on driving since “Malcolm” ended in 2006, tried to make light of the mishap.
“Yesterday, I fell from the top of a ladder while changing the batteries in a Ring camera in my backyard,” he explained. “Note to self: heed the ladder warning that says, ‘Do not sit or stand on top step.’ In hindsight, a taller ladder would’ve been smarter.”
