First day of SSLC exam gets off to a smooth start across State

Smooth start to SSLC exams in Karnataka with 98.06% attendance, no malpractice reported, Minister visits exam centre.
The first annual exam of SSLC students commenced on a smooth note on Friday with attendance recorded at 98.06% across the State. As many as 16,313 students were absent for the first language Kannada, Telugu, Hindi, Marathi, Tamil, Urdu, English and Sanskrit subjects.
As per an official release issued by Karnataka School Examination Assessment Board (KSEAB), there was no malpractice reported from any of the centres across the State and no untoward incidents.
Madhu Bangarappa, Minister for School Education and Literacy visited the Karnataka Public School (KPS) examination centre located at Malleswaram, Bengaluru, and greeted the students by offering roses and wishing them best wishes. Before the commencement of the exams, the minister verified the examination arrangements with the officials.
This is the first annual examination of a total of three exams. A total of 8,96,447 students have registered, including 4,61,563 boys and 4,34,884 girls from 15,881 high schools across the State.
