Fifty years of India-Bangladesh ties a ‘precious achievement’: Singaporean diplomat

“Singapore has a very good relation with both Bangladesh and India. So, we are happy to join in this celebration,” Singapore’s Ambassador-at-Large Tommy Koh said.
If all countries can live in harmony with their neighbours, it would be a major contribution towards peace, a top Singaporean diplomat has said while lauding India and Bangladesh for having 50 years of good bilateral relations, which he said was a “precious achievement” worthy of celebration.
‘Maitri Diwas’ was observed on December 6 to mark India recognising the newly-formed country Bangladesh in 1971. The day was celebrated across 18 countries.

India has formally joined Pax Silica, a U.S.-led initiative focused on artificial intelligence and secure supply chains, signalling a reset in India-U.S. ties after a turbulent year. Pax Silica is aimed at protecting technology supply chains from strategic vulnerabilities — particularly amid concerns over China’s dominance in critical sectors.
