Facebook outage around the globe

Users in many countries around the globe could not access Facebook for several minutes Friday night. On trying to log-in on the desktop version, the social media site kept on showing an error message, 'invalid slice'. The site has become inaccessible by around Friday midnight in Qatar. The mobile site, meanwhile, remained unaffected.
