BJP leader demands expulsion of MLA criticizing party leadership in Karnataka, calls for action against dissenting members.
BJP leader M.P. Renukacharya, who is considered a B.S. Yediyurappa loyalist, has demanded the expulsion from the party of BJP MLA Basanagouda Patil Yatnal who has been criticising party State president B.Y. Vijayendra.
Mr. Vijayendra and his father Mr. Yediyurappa have contributed immensely to the party’s growth in Karnataka. Mr. Yatnal does not seem to know this. He should respect Mr. Yediyurappa’s seniority and Mr. Vijayendra’s organisational skills, he said.
Mr. Yatnal does not do that. He is going around insulting them. He has also built an alternative team of leaders and is going around holding rallies. The party high command should take action against him and sack him from all party positions, Mr. Renukacharya said in Davangere on Sunday.
He said that he will not comment on the former MP Pratap Simmha saying he is not a leader of any significance.
