Ernie Anastos, the legendary Big Apple news anchor who worked for several top tristate television stations, has died, according to a report.
He was 82.
Anastos’ death was confirmed by those close to his family, ABC 7 News reported.
He earned 30 Emmy awards and nominations during a storied on-air career that spanned decades and notably covered historical events like the 9/11 terror attacks and the COVID-19 pandemic.
