Critics say the president's son can't grasp the problems facing everyday Americans.
Eric Trump, one of President Donald Trump’s three sons, is getting roasted on social media for failing to read the room when it comes to the nation’s affordability crisis.
As grocery prices continue to rise, and as insurance premiums are set to jump due to the pending expiration of Affordable Care Act credits, Trump talked up no-fee transfers of millions in Bitcoin.
The comment came as Trump trashed traditional banks, calling them “slow” and “lethargic” as he complained about trying to send money out before 5 pm deadlines.
“How is that modern-day finance?” he said during a Fox Business interview, leading to what he indicated was a clear advantage for cryptocurrencies.
“You can send $500 million worth of Bitcoin on a Sunday night at, you know, at 11 p.m. while having a glass of wine with your wife for virtually zero fees,” he said.
