England sticking with Rory Burns and Dom Sibley as openers would be definition of insanity: Michael Vaughan

Former captain Michael Vaughan said that England have to bring Dawid Malan into the top order and also said that they will find it difficult to recover from the Lord's defeat in the absence of Ben Stokes.

England will have to look beyond Rory Burns and Dom Sibley as their openers in Tests after their defeat to India at Lord's, former captain Michael Vaughan has said. Vaughan said that England should get Dawid Malan to bat at No.3 and promote Haseeb Hameed to the top of the order. "I want a bit more substance and experience. I want to see Dawid Malan at three. England cannot keep going with the Rory Burns-Dom Sibley opening partnership after 10 ducks this year. It is the definition of insanity. It just does not work," Vaughan wrote in his column for The Telegraph.
