Energy Minister al-Kaabi to take part in 'Opening Ministerial Panel' of Gastech

HE Minister of State for Energy Affairs, Saad Sherida al-Kaabi, also the president and chief executive officer of Qatar Petroleum, will join a stellar line-up of government ministers and energy industry leaders speaking at Gastech, the world’s foremost exhibition and conference supporting the gas, LNG, hydrogen, and energy industry. Taking place at the Dubai World Trade Centre, from September 21 to 23, Gastech will be the first time, since the Covid-19 pandemic began, the industry will have met face-to-face to discuss the future of energy. Following the official welcome address by Dr Sultan Ahmed Al Jaber, Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology, United Arab Emirates, and managing director and Group CEO, ADNOC Group, al-Kaabi will participate in the ‘Opening Ministerial Panel’, which will share insights into the role of natural gas in the energy transition, the hydrogen economy and what actions are needed to meet the growing demand for energy and cleaner fuels. Al-Kaabi will be joined in the panel session by Suhail Mohamed al-Mazrouei, Minister of Energy and Infrastructure, United Arab Emirates; Fatih Dönmez, Minister of Energy & Natural Resources, Turkey; Arifin Tasrif, Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources, Indonesia; and Mohammad Barkindo Sanusi, Secretary-General, OPEC.
