Ellen DeGeneres Sends Rosie O'Donnell Unexpected 4-Word Message After Trump's Citizenship Threat
HuffPost
Both women have been vocal in the past about their strained relationship.
Ellen DeGeneres didn’t let her history with fellow comedian Rosie O’Donnell affect her response after President Donald Trump’s shocking threat to take away O’Donnell’s citizenship.
The president reignited his long-running feud with O’Donnell over the weekend, calling her a “threat to humanity” in a post on Truth Social.
“Because of the fact that Rosie O’Donnell is not in the best interests of our Great Country, I am giving serious consideration to taking away her Citizenship,” Trump wrote. “She is a Threat to Humanity, and should remain in the wonderful Country of Ireland, if they want her. GOD BLESS AMERICA!”
O’Donnell responded to Trump in two separate Instagram posts, calling him a “criminal con man” who “lacks empathy compassion and basic humanity.”
“You call me a threat to humanity – but I’m everything you fear,” O’Donnell wrote in a different post. “A loud woman a queer woman a mother who tells the truth an american who got out of the country b4 u set it ablaze you build walls – I build a life for my autistic kid in a country where decency still exists.”
