Education Ministry provides 655 scholarships for university studies

The Ministry of Education and Higher Education has provided scholarships to 655 students to pursue their higher studies in the universities operating inside Qatar and abroad. As much as 3,021 students applied for scholarships for the academic year 2021-22.
“So far, 655 students received scholarships. They signed the contracts and started their study,” said Director of Admissions and Registration of Scholarships Department at the Ministry of Education and Higher Education Saleh Muhammad Al Muftah.
Speaking in a Qatar TV programme, he said that a large number of applications seeking scholarships are still under process indicating that the list of scholarships will go longer. “As much as 501 students received scholarships for studying inside the country and 154 students have been given Amiri scholarships,” said Al Muftah.
