Draymond Green confronts Pelicans fan, allegedly threatens to punch him after ‘Angel Reese’ taunts
NY Post
Draymond Green got into it with a fan during the second quarter of Sunday night’s Warriors game in New Orleans after the person in question kept calling him “Angel Reese.”
The broadcast captured Green getting in the face of the fan, who later identified himself as Sam Green, 35, to the Associated Press, during the second quarter of the Warriors’ 124-106 win over the Pelicans.
Green walked over to the fan and got into his face, and the two could be seen jawing at one another, before teammate Brandin Podziemski and an official walked over to get in between the two.
Sam Green, who is from New Orleans and was sitting courtside, grinned during the exchange and through the aftermath as a woman next to him started talking with him. He kept smiling as security came over to have a word.
The fan confirmed to the Associated Press that he was taunting the Warriors star with chants of “Angel Reese” due to the fact that he hadn’t attempted any shots at that point in the game and had several rebounds.
“It was a good joke at first, but you can’t keep calling me a woman,” Draymond Green told reporters. “I’ve got four kids and one on the way. You can’t keep calling me a woman. It’s all good. He got quiet, though, so it was fine.”

Suddenly, someone had hit a rewind button and everyone had been transported back seven months. It was early spring instead of late fall, it was broiling hot outside the arena walls and not freezing cold. Everyone was back at TD Garden. There were 19,156 frenzied fans on their feet begging for blood, poised for the kill.
