Donald Trump Explodes At ‘Stupid’ White House Contractors In Wild Post: ‘I Started Yelling’
HuffPost
'Who did this, and I want to find out now!" the president claimed he screamed at the workers, adding it was not "in a nice manner."
Donald Trump ranted on his Truth Social platform this weekend about what he called “stupid” contractors who allegedly caused a “deep and nasty” gash in the limestone during the recent, controversial remodeling of the White House Rose Garden.
“Surfaces are very important to me as a Builder,” Trump wrote, boasting that he’s “built many GREAT Buildings, and other things, over the years.” He claimed that after spotting the 25-yard gash, “I started yelling, ’Who did this, and I want to find out now!”
“And I didn’t say this in a nice manner,” he added in the post. “I wondered, ‘Was it vandalism or, was it stupidity?’”
Trump said that, thanks to “the finest security equipment anywhere,” they were able to monitor surveillance footage and realized what had happened. They “brought back the stupid people, with their boss watching (in sunglasses!),” he wrote.
According to Trump, a subcontractor was using “heavy landscaping on a steel cart that was broken and tilting badly, with it rubbing hard against the soft, beautiful stone.”
