Department of Meteorology warns of strong wind and high sea

Weather inshore until 6 pm on Monday will be hazy at times and scattered clouds to partly cloudy with chance of scattered rain maybe thundery with blowing dust at places at times, the Department of Meteorology said in its daily weather report, warning of thunderstorms expected associated with sudden strong wind. Offshore will be, hazy with scattered clouds becomes partly cloudy later, the report added. Wind inshore will be southeasterly to southwesterly becomes mainly northeasterly by afternoon 05 to 15 knot reaches 30 knot with thundery rain. Offshore, it will be mainly northeasterly to southeasterly 03 to 12 knot, gusting to 18 knot at times. Visibility will be 4 to 9/3 kilometres or less with thundery rain.
