
Delays across P.E.I. following overnight snowfall

Delays are taking place across the province Thursday morning following overnight snowfall that's set to continue into the afternoon.
Kings and Queens counties are under a yellow snowfall alert from Environment Canada. The alerts, which were updated Thursday morning, said an additional 5 to 10 cm of snow is possible before snow tapers off later in the day.
Schools in the Bluefield, Charlottetown, Morell, Montague and Souris families are on a one-hour delay.
The Island Montessori Academy campuses in Stratford and Cornwall will delay opening until 9 a.m.
Some schools in the French-language school board will start classes one hour late today, including Saint-Augustin, François-Buote and L’École La-Belle-Cloche.
Holland College has delayed opening of all Charlottetown and Georgetown locations until 10:30 a.m., with further updates by 9 a.m.
All provincial civil service offices in the Queens, Charlottetown and Kings County areas are on a delayed opening until 9:30 a.m., with a further announcement by 8:30 a.m.
Health PEI delays and closures are listed on the provincial health agency's website. It says Islanders with appointments at hospitals, clinics and other health care services should call ahead to confirm appointments, or notify staff if unable to make it.

Most anti-Black racism recommendations completed at UWindsor, but some still waiting for more action
The University of Windsor says it has completed nearly 90 per cent of the anti-Black racism recommendations stemming from a special task force on campus, but some are pushing for more progress.
