Credit cards with travel rewards provide 'bang for your buck': Personal finance

While rising interest rates may make some Canadians hesitant to use their credit card, one personal finance expert said continuing to do so allows consumers to accumulate points from loyalty programs.
Barry Choi, a personal finance expert at MoneyWeHave.com, said consumers who continue to use credit cards will reap the benefits from earning points to put towards areas like groceries. However, Choi recommends looking for loyalty programs that let consumers put their credit card points toward travel.
“Travel [credit] cards are definitely the most bang for your buck,” Choi said in an interview on Thursday.
“I personally like Aeroplan because I've been able to get value over two cents per point.”
