Doha, Qatar: The Council of Ministers Secretariat General organized a panel discussion on building a sustainable future as part of the Qatar Sustainability Week.
The event was attended by Minister of Justice and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs HE Ibrahim bin Ali Al Mohannadi, Cabinet Secretary-General HE Hamad bin Ahmed Al Muhannadi, alongside several high-ranking officials and the Secretariat's functionaries.
The initiative is part of the Secretariat's foremost attention to promoting notions of sustainability within the workplace, stemming from its commitment to empowering employees and enhancing their awareness of sustainable development and its multiple dimensions, thereby deepening the culture of sustainable development and supporting the realization of Qatar National Vision 2030.
It also comes as part of the Secretariat's efforts to foster a culture of quality and innovation, as well as the spirit of initiative among functionaries, in addition to promoting concepts that contribute to the development of government work, including the sustainability of decisions, policies, and procedures, ensuring the continuity of positive impact on the economy, society, and environment alike.
The panel hosted Dr. Mohammed bin Saif Al Kuwari, an environmental expert and engineering consultant at the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change, UN Commissioner for the Promotion of the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals, Deputy Chairman of the National Human Rights Committee, and holder of two patents in the field of environmental sustainability.
