Margaret Cho likened Ellen DeGeneres to a “mean girl” while reflecting on her connection to the comedian.
While appearing on “The Kelly Mantle Show,” Cho claimed that the former talk show host was “really weird and not nice” to her throughout her career.
“It’s so weird now, [the] public perception of her is more true to ... she’s mean,” Cho, who referred to DeGeneres as “somebody that I’ve known for such a long time,” said. “She was like a mean girl, kind of, but also she would be real nice.”
“I think she always had negative feelings toward me because her girlfriends and wives always liked me ... There’s a kind of woman [who] loves a female comic,” Cho added. “But yeah, Ellen was really weird, and not nice to me for most of my career.”
The “Fire Island” star went on to recall opening up for DeGeneres in her earlier days. Cho alleged that the actress gave her the cold shoulder when she later appeared on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show,” which ended in 2022.
