Colin Jost Reacts To Wife Scarlett Johansson Publicly Kissing 'Jurassic World' Co-Star

The "Jurassic World Rebirth" star caused quite the stir last month by kissing Jonathan Bailey on the lips during multiple red carpet appearances.

“Saturday Night Live” star Colin Jost is aware of the rampant online chatter surrounding the red carpet kisses between his wife Scarlett Johansson and her “Jurassic World Rebirth” co-star Jonathan Bailey — and dismissed the social media reactions as “nuts.”

Johansson caused quite the stir last month by smooching Bailey on the lips at the film’s London premiere in June. The actor, who married Jost in 2020 and gave birth to their child Cosmo the following year, kissed Bailey again at the film’s New York premiere later that month.

Jost weighed in on the ensuing reactions in an interview Thursday with “Entertainment Tonight.” He suggested it was strange for people to be shocked by a married woman sharing a platonic kiss with a friend and reminded people that Bailey is gay.

“I guess in ‘Jurassic Park’ terms, the attack always comes from the raptor you never thought,” said Jost. “Of all the threats out there, I wasn’t thinking it was Jonathan. People really blow it out of proportion when someone, like, kisses their friend hello, that’s pretty nuts.”

“Jonathan’s an out gay man,” he added. “It didn’t seem like the biggest threat.”
