
Coast Guard organises ‘unity run’

500+ people from diverse backgrounds participated in a unity run in Kochi to promote national integration, flagged off by Deputy Inspector General N. Ravi. The run was part of 'Azadi Ka Amrit Kaal' celebrations and routed through Park Avenue Road and M.G. Road.
The Indian Coast Guard District Headquarters (Kerala and Mahe) organised a unity run as part of ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Kaal’ celebrations in Kochi on Sunday to promote national integration. Over 500 people from different walks of life participated in the event that was flagged off by Deputy Inspector General N. Ravi, Commander Coast Guard District (Kerala and Mahe), from Durbar Hall Ground. The run was routed through Park Avenue Road and M.G. Road.

After mandating pet dog licensing and microchipping, Greater Chennai Corporation (GCC) bids to do the same for cattle to curb stray cattle issues and man-animal conflicts in the streets. The civic body has moved to make it compulsory for cattle owners to obtain licenses for their animals across all zones.
