City Exchange ISC 7’s Football Tournament begins

Doha: The Indian Sports Centre (ISC) under the aegis of the Embassy of India kicked off its 7’s Football Tournament with thrilling opening matches at CNAQ grounds last weekend. The opening ceremony and kick off matches were attended by players and organisers following strict COVID-19 protocols put forth by the MOPH.
The opening ceremony was inaugurated by the ISC President Dr Mohan Thomas.
During the inaugural speech, Dr Mohan Thomas emphasised on ISC’s goals to increase awareness of sports among the Indian expatriate community, including football. He also underlined the strong support of ISC and the Indian Community to the host country for the upcoming FIFA events in the country like the FIFA Arab Cup 2021 and FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.
