Doha, Qatar: With the attendance of 360 members of the Bangladeshi community, the Sheikh Abdulla Bin Zaid Al-Mahmoud Islamic Cultural Center organised a religious and recreational programme in the center’s lecture hall. This initiative comes as part of the center’s commitment to providing comprehensive religious awareness for non-Arabic-speaking Muslim communities. The event included a recitation from the Holy Qur’an, an Islamic nasheed segment, and religious competitions. Two lecturers then spoke about the qualities of a Muslim, focusing on the attributes of a Muslim individual and how these traits reflect in daily behaviour, interactions, and character. A subsequent lecture addressed the concepts of obedience and commitment, covering religious adherence, the acts of worship of the heart, fear of God, the importance of uprightness, renewing repentance, and constantly turning back to God. Organising such activities reflects the center’s keenness to meet the needs of Muslim communities by offering integrated programmes that provide both education and entertainment, achieving the desired benefit for the target audience.
