Celtics coach Joe Mazzulla wanted Boston fans to take a look at the Larry O’Brien Championship Trophy before Friday’s celebratory parade. The 35-year-old coach — whose Celtics clinched the NBA title with a Game 5 win over the Mavericks in Boston on Monday night — was caught on video walking with the championship trophy in the North End of Boston on Wednesday night.
He let fans and famous restauranteurs touch the trophy, according to the Boston Globe.
An onlooker yelled out to him, “Coach, how much do you like the North End?”
He answered, “I like the city of Boston.”
The reply drew a “Yeeessss! Thank you so much” from the questioner.
This came a day after Mazzulla celebrated with his players in Miami.

Wednesday was another positive day at Yankees camp. For the first time since March 6, 2025 — an outing in which he knew “something wasn’t right,” which began a weeks-long saga that ended on the operating table for Tommy John surgery — Gerrit Cole was back on a mound and facing hitters in game action.
