CeeDee Lamb responds to NFL’s controversial ‘nose wipe’ penalty decision
NY Post
CeeDee Lamb’s well-known celebration could become a thing of the past following the latest NFL rule change.
In a new rules report sent to teams around the league this week, the “nose wipe” gesture has been categorized as a “violent gesture” and will result in a 15-yard penalty.
Said gestures “shall include but not be limited to a throat slash, simulating firing or brandishing a gun, or using the ‘nose wipe,'” according to a snippet of the unsportsmanlike conduct guidelines shared Wednesday on X by ESPN analyst Benjamin Solak.
Pro Football Talk expanded on the gesture Wednesday, noting “the nose wipe is a gang sign associated with the Bloods, indicating someone is untrustworthy.”
And even Lamb weighed in, responding to Solak’s post: “Smh, i have plenty in mind.”
The Cowboys’ first-round pick in 2020, the star wide receiver has performed the move across his five seasons in Dallas.

Suddenly, someone had hit a rewind button and everyone had been transported back seven months. It was early spring instead of late fall, it was broiling hot outside the arena walls and not freezing cold. Everyone was back at TD Garden. There were 19,156 frenzied fans on their feet begging for blood, poised for the kill.
