• Star witness: Cassie Ventura, ex-girlfriend of Sean “Diddy” Combs and one of his accusers, is back on the stand for the fourth day of her testimony in Combs’ federal criminal trial. The judge is urging lawyers to wrap up with Ventura before the weekend, as she’s due to give birth soon. • Testimony so far: Today, defense lawyers for Combs have brought up messages between him and Ventura about their 2016 hotel altercation and “Freak Offs,” the drug-fueled sex performances Combs orchestrated. Ventura said she sought treatment for PTSD. • Federal charges: Combs has pleaded not guilty to charges that include racketeering conspiracy, sex trafficking and transportation to engage in prostitution. If convicted on all counts, he could face up to life in prison. • Editor’s Note: If you or someone you know is struggling with intimate partner violence, there are resources available, including the National Domestic Violence Hotline. The jury has been dismissed for lunch. In messages from early October 2018, Sean “Diddy” Combs told Cassie Ventura he was going to “fall back” and to call him when she needed him.
