Canadian banks to remain open on federal holiday honouring the Queen

The Canadian Bankers Association said banks will remain open on Monday during the federal holiday honouring the funeral of Queen Elizabeth II.

The organization said they are committed to having “predictable” service for Canadians.

“By keeping the banking system open, banks ensure the continuous functioning of payroll for workers, scheduled bill payments, child support, and mortgage closings,” the association said in a press release Wednesday.
