Bucky Dent tells The Post why the Yankees-Red Sox rivalry will never fade
NY Post
It was the bottom of the first inning when the “Bos-ton Sucks” chants erupted. As if on cue, Jazz Chisholm Jr. whacked a two-out, two-strike, three-run HR to center field.
Anthony Volpe quickly followed with a two-run homer to right-center field.
All that Jazz (4 RBIs, two stolen bases) and all those Bronx Bombers — Paul Goldschmidt joined the Sultan of Swat party — ambushed the Red Sox 9-6 on Friday night at the Stadium in the 2025 renewal of their storied rivalry.
And when Walker Buehler plunked Volpe in his left elbow with the bases loaded in the second inning?

Suddenly, someone had hit a rewind button and everyone had been transported back seven months. It was early spring instead of late fall, it was broiling hot outside the arena walls and not freezing cold. Everyone was back at TD Garden. There were 19,156 frenzied fans on their feet begging for blood, poised for the kill.
