Brandon Aiyuk’s agent denies receiver requested trade from 49ers
NY Post
Is Brandon Aiyuk returning to the 49ers? Who knows.
But his agent suggests that he hasn’t requested a trade.
Quote tweeting a report saying that Aiyuk “requested a trade” from the team, his agent Ryan Williams replied saying that the supposed NFL Insider “needs better sources.”
The star wide receiver is set to make over $14 million this season on his fifth-year option prior to entering free agency next offseason.
The 2020 first-round pick, who turned 26 years old in March, has been in offseason rumors ever since his 49ers lost to the Kansas City Chiefs in the Super Bowl in February.
Aiyuk’s girlfriend poured gasoline on the fire regarding rumors of the receiver potentially asking out of San Francisco with a curious social media message.
PHILADELPHIA — The easy thing is to feed the beast. There is some rawness and some rancor in this series now. There are some hard feelings and some hurt egos. WASHINGTON — The NHL’s Public Enemy No. 1 took a seat in his stall in the back corner of the room following his team’s optional practice Saturday and drew chuckles from the assembled audience by spinning a tale about being killed 68 times in Halo by Chris Kreider following the previous night’s Game 3.
