Billy Bishop airport terminal evacuated after 'suspicious item' found in carry-on bag
CBC
Passengers were forced to leave Billy Bishop airport Monday morning after a "suspicious item" was found inside a carry-on bag, Toronto police and airport officials say.
Security screening was "temporarily suspended" as a result, a spokesperson for the airport said in a series of tweets, and police and firefighters were on scene.
"Passengers are asked not to enter the terminal and should expect flight delays," the tweets continued.
More to come.
