Awqaf, Heart Hospital partnership to support needy patients

The General Administration of Endowments at the Ministry of Endowments (Awqaf) and Islamic Affairs has announced a partnership with the Heart Hospital of Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC) to support and assist critical cases of needy heart patients with QR250,000. The announcement was made by Dr Sheikh Khalid bin Mohamed bin Ghanem al-Thani, director-general of the General Administration of Endowments, and Dr Abdul Wahed al-Mulla, consultant cardiac surgeon at HMC, during a press conference on Saturday. The director-general expressed pleasure at the continuous development of the partnership with HMC. He said the partnership comes to provide a service to help heart patients who have defaulted on paying the costs of treatment. The support is given through Awqaf's Waqf Bank. Al-Mulla also praised the fruitful co-operation and said it would benefit many heart patients. He appreciated the speedy response of the General Administration of Endowments and its keenness to establish this partnership and to achieve the slogan of endowment as a community partnership.More Related News
