
Auto pollution-related deaths in the U.S. declining even as car use expands

Even though cars are bigger and more plentiful than ever before, the number of lives lost annually in the United States due to car-related pollution actually decreased by nearly 30 per cent from 2008 to 2017.
It's worth remembering, though, that the world has in some ways made progress against some of the worst consequences of what we're doing to the planet.

While Canada is well known for its accomplishments in space — including building the robotic arms used on the Space Shuttle and the International Space Station — the country still has no ability to launch its own satellites.
